I created a custom material today in photoshop. I created a colored tile pattern and a black and white pattern to use a the bump texture. When i try to use the colored file it renders all black. I also tried using the bump file and it worked. I can not figure out why it will not use my color file? Is there a size limit to material files? (Jpg's) If anyone can help it would be greatly appriciated.

Could you post your materials to check them?.....

Try this

Select the element that you want to use for the materials

Copy it. open a new conceptual mass dwg. Paste it in. Under manage select object styles and then select the elements name.

Then to the right click the materials properties.

Then simply reapply the same process you did when first appling the materials.

 Good Luck.
