Perhaps if you took the time to be a bit more specific someone here would feel inclined to take the time to respond.

I would be glad to help if you had a more specific question...and specifics on how your question pertains to Revit.

Im trying to create a simple repair garage in Revit, with an office on the first and second floor. Im trying to find basic information about a repair garage such as average dimensions, door size, and anything else to take into consideration when building a repair garage. If I can think of any questions that are more specific, I will post them later.

i think you would have to consult your local building codes. some of the information your looking for should come from that. such as door types, min, sizes, egress codes. fire ratings and systems and type of construction allowed etc . other than that sizes of rooms and such, to me, would be determined by the client as long as they feel wth in code restrictions, and i then would draw what was requested by the client.

Thanks for the help.
Do you, by any chance, know what type of floor is common in a repair garage?

my guess ia that they would want concrete. so that clean up would be easy and chemicals will not hurt the surface and it is able to with stand the weight of auto. you also may want to figure out how tall the vehicls that will be worked on just cars and full size trucks or larger fleet vehicles. if larger vehicles are to be worked on you want to have at least 2 bays, one with an 8 foot ft door and 1 with at least at 15.

I would also go visit some garages and just take a look at what they've done...

Are you familiar with the Timesavers series of books related to architecture? If not, I found a list of some of them at the MIT library

A link at Amazon...
