Hey,

I have a question regarding the floors intersepting walls.

In the first picture, you can see that the floor extends perfectly into the wall. But in the second picture, you can see that they are not extending into the wall but overlapping.

The first picture is taken from somekind of project. And I would like to know, if they have used a masking region or somekind of other tool to cover the overlapping part?

OR anybody have any suggestions how to do it?

or how it should be done in revit?

I have read lots of threads but I haven't got any help from there.

Regards,

Tom

Hey Neotropic,

You're right.

You could mask it in 2D,

(image 1 you can see what I had looks just like your's)

Now when using REVIT 2010, click modify -> Cut Profile.

Now select the inner wall and draw where you'd like to cut the wall (image2),

You'll see there is an arrow in the first line you'll draw, make sure it points to the part you want to remain visible.

Click finnish (image3)

Now you can repeat these steps for the floor (if necessary as in my case) (image 4&5)

I hope this was helpful, good luk.

Before you try what "Gebber" told you, did you try to use the "Join Geometry" tool between the walls and the floor???
