The problem is that Revit has all the information I need, but they can’t be combined after the way I'm looking for. In Room schedule I can get a list of the various spaces, area, numbers with more In Wall schedule I can get a list of the various walls, square, volume, and more. The goal is to beat these two together so I can see from the rooms my wall pieces comes from.  In the schedule Wall Material Takeoff (Revit 2010). The function Room nr. is not available, if it was it would solve the problem.  It should further be used for a quantity and price.

The problem is that walls usually span more than one room in length and they usually face more than one room so they just can not be quantified in this way.

But Don’t you think it is possible to make are plug in for Revit, so you can generate data from the room instead of generate it for the hole level.

Do I think it is possible - maybe.  I also think you can get this information through ODBC.  Since REVIT is not an estimating program, I don't expect it to do this.

I have just bin working with ODBC Data File . I exported the information to Microsoft Access.I got about 80-100 different schedules. But I the Room schedules, I could not ad wall. And I Wall and Material schedule I could not ad Room nr/ name. All the information I could find I the schedules, was the same information Revit could give me So I if you have another idea where it could be I’am listing. Regards Jacob

I'm sorry, I was not complete in my answer.  The information you want will not come directly from REVIT but by exporting to ODBC, you might find a way to build something in excel or access that will manipulate your data.  exmp.... create a new table in access that reads your room schedule for finishes and applies that to areas that you read from another schedule.

I have not done this because I don't have that need but I do have files where I manipulate the revit data in other ways.
