Is it a general practice to add door trim to a door family? I used the solid sweep command to create a wall based door trim. When I use an existing profile I can't get it to change sizes, so it very limited. I can sketch a simple block as trim and resize it easily, but it doesn't look good. Also, when I have a stacked wall (stone wainscot, plaster above) the door doesn't cut right. The door will host to the plaster, but the trim falls behind the stone wainscot. If I change the host to the stone, then the door jamb sticks out past the plaster. Help?!? I've attached a screen shot of the exterior elevation.
