Hi folks, Have opened up a drawing that has various curtain walls drawn direct in the project and curtain walls linked in as part of another building. All the curtain walls linked in show as transparent in the 3D views, the curtain walls drawn in the project do not show as transparent. I have tried changing element properties, view properties, visibility graphics, re drawing & re-loading the glazed curatin panels all to no avail and still show as solid in the 3D view? Can anyone help????????????

A screenshot could help, most likely I'd say its the material the curtain walls are using in the project. As the linked curtain walls would be using the material definition from their own file...

Here you go mate. You will see a curtain wall to the left that you can see through, the central curtain wall is the issue one. I did try and change all the materials in the panel file, elements, I even made a new glass parameter but still it didn't work. See what you think anyway, cheers.

Once you've loaded a family, the materials its been assigned are loaded into the project. If you then go back and edit the family materials and reload the family the changes to the materials will not be reimported... I you need to make changes the materials in that project you now have to do so through the Materials Settings dialog and change their properties to match. Most likely the "Glass" material unless you've assigned a specific type of glass. HTH.
