Hi, 

Ihave created a new door in 2009, i load it into my project i place it into a wall, all is fine, then when i look at it, the wall is still showing through the door, i highlight the wall in the section of the door to delete it and it comes up with the above error? its happend twice now on same project and i will have a lot more doors to do?

anyone know where i am going wrong?

any guidance be gratefully recieved

Your problem may be your view range.  You are actually seeing the edges of the wall below.  Change your view depth if you don't want to see this or edit your floor to come into the door opening.

Hi,

Thanks for yur reply, I have worked out that it is not my view range, its actually the phasing, everytime i generate a new view be it section or 3D etc, i have to phase it as None and Existing, it seems that under "show all" it is showing the door and the wall - (I hope you understand what i mean) a real pain, I have tried to overhaul the phasing on the whole project as None/xisting but any new sheets i have to change again :-(

Any guiance be gratefully recieved

In the properties of each view, there is a field when you can select the default view template.  Create a view template with the phase set to existing then apply it as the default template to you various view templates.  That way, each new view that is created will be automatically phased existing...
