Basically, my issue seems sort of simple. I have done all the ductwork and plumbing in the building I am working on. I placed the ceiling diffusers on levels created from a section view and tied them into the duct lines. I placed them at the same height the ceilings from the architectural model would be at (we have archs doing their own BIM work and then we use it to compile on Navisworks. BUT, when I compile it, the diffusers don't pop through the ceilings. Do I 1) have to put the diffusers in the architectural reflected ceilings and then import the whole revit file and then connect them or 2) just lower them a touch just to get them to pop through or 3) is there an easier way to do all of this? Someone has to know out there.

Your second option is probably the best, if you were using face-based diffusers with a linked revit model you could tell them to cut the ceiling (host). though it seems like this is not the case. so try and lower them .5 to .75"
