I am using Revit Archiutcture 2009: i have a MEPFP consultants model linked into my model.  I go to visibility graphics and turn their linked model to custom and i go into their model categories and try to turn off certain model cateogries and they will not turn off in my model.  What is the problem?

They could have drawn them under a different category.  Did you expand to show all categories?

Yes, i epxanded and i have nearly every category hidden.  I have hidden the major portion of the category not the sub categories under the major categories.  Would that be the problem.

Shouldn't be.  What elements are you trying to hide?  You may try turning it off custom and seeing if you can control it through your model category first.

I am trying to hide everyhting like ductwork and diffusers and piping conncetions and stuff like that.  I really just want to use their sprinkler head layout in my reflected ceiling plan.

Perhaps they have a sprinkler plan view set up that you can set to linked view then hide all the views annotation.

Blake,

Thanks very much for the tip.  That worked and i was able to hide a couple of the other things i did not wnat.  For anyone else following this thread this is what i did.  Went to visibilty graphics set the linked model to custom and went to the basics of that model and selected fire protection under the linked views of ym consultant.  Then I customized the linked view further by turning off and on model categories and annotations specific to the linked model.
