I don't know if you guys, already see this: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=13540984&linkID=9243099&CMP=OTC-RSSSUP01

Issue

When you add or select an object in Revit 2010, the Element Ribbon Panel does not appear.

Solution

This typically occurs when the workstation is running graphics card management software, which modifies or controls the window display.

Verify if you are running window management software, typically from a video driver or graphics card control panel.  Examples would include nView from Nvidia or HydraVision from ATI.  The Windows Control Panel will show these applications installed.

If the software is present:

  1. Close Revit 2010.
  2. Disable the software or any additional window management software. Make sure that no software is attempting to control the position or graphics of windows.
  3. Launch Revit 2010, and highlight an object to verify the element ribbon panel displays as expected below:

I get this all the freakin time... but I just hold the cursor over the ribbon and/or deselect the object related to the error, and it comes back.
