Im creating a window family for our 1:100 plans. I would like the letters S. and F. to be in panels for medium/high view detail but for coarse I wish it to hide, as pres plans dont need the detail. Text doesnt appear to have any visilbity settings in the family editor so I assume it cannot be done? The model text tool is no good since it is a model height and will not create at 2mm high which is what is needed for the windows im creating. How would this be accomplished or is having different annotations on objects for different detail levels on the wish list?

Have you tried creating the text as a symbol family, saving it and inserting it into the window family? You should then have control of the visibility of the symbol family.
