Is there a way to create custom line types for showing phone, gas, electrical, water, and other utility lines or does this function already exist in revit?

certainly, You can create new line patterns by going to Settings/Line Patterns - Click "New" and you can probably figure it out from there. To create a new line type using the pattern you just created, go to Settings/Line Styles, then click "New" Line Styles are assigned a line thickness, color, & pattern.

It looks as though one can only create lines with dashes, dots, and spaces. Typically utility lines look like the following: ------PH------PH------PH------ ------GAS------GAS------GAS------ ------W------W------W------ etc. It looks like my question was already answered in the previous thread "Line Patterns". Thank you. Post edited on 2005-08-07 22:25:08
