size and material parameters. I downloaded one from this site, but there is no material parameter. I tried adding one to no avail. I checked other sites but could not find one. I am a recent grad doing a apt project for a small developer. I am on a tight budget and need to eat. I have my own advanced material library as well. Here is the project. The big prefab units are made in AZ and transported to San Diego in two pieces. This is a preliminary rendering. Anyones help is greatly appreciated. I do not wish to create a fence becuase of limit time. Thanks

Why don't you look at the sample projects in the on-line library? There are fences there like you want. See attached.

There is Sample Files folder which is part of Revit Software. Inside that folder you'll see rvt. files such as fencing, railing, roofs, stairs...simly open fencing file and copy any fence type you want to use and paste in your drawing, after that just use match type and replace your fence with one from Sample Files folder. Just to repeat they are rvt. files not rfa files, still handy though.

and I could not utilize one of your BIM objects. The other objects I was able to use. It does not have a material parameter. The color is nicer than my crazy carrot fence. If it is not too much effort do you have a fence with size and material parameters for Revit 08 or below. Your an Ausi, I hope you were not affected by the wildfires. I am thinking about using a friend's 2009 upgrade software to get Revit 09. I have a Penteium III, so I do not know if my PC can handle Revit 09. Presently I have expanded the RAM and virtual memory and its a little slow with Revit 08. Have a nice a day and wear shark repellent if you go surfing down under. vince1234@inbox.com

Can't help you with this one as I'm using 2009, so no good to email you sample files as you would not be able to open any of them. And this is all I had in regards to paling fence. I'm probably one of very few aussies who are not interested in surfing and not only that but I barely go to beach even though I live just 10 minutes from beach

Are you sure that there is no material parameter? If you open the relevant balusters under railings in families in the browser there is a parameter for them there. The materials for the rails are set in the railing element properties under the rails.

The on-line library is here: http://revit.autodesk.com/library/html/index.html The fences are under the Revit instruction and Help samples. If you are not on 2010 their are archived libraries for earlier issues.
