I've been trying to search for the answer to this question both on-line and in Revit help, and I think the problem I'm having is that I'm not sure how to word the search correctly.

I once had a family that was a countertop with three backsplashes (one on the back, left and right sides).  These backsplashes could be turned on or off individually.

Currently, I'm making some custom toilet partitions (like in any given public gang toilets) and I want to make the individual wall brackets able to turn on and off like the backsplashes on the countertop family I had long ago (I have no idea where the countertop family is anymore or I'd try to copy what they did).

Can anyone sort of give me a leg up on this?  Heck, even a proper search ter would be nice.  I tried looking for 'turning elements on and off in a family', but there were so many hits (and none of the 40 or 50 I looked at had anything to do with what I'm looking for) I couldn't find what I was looking for.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

heh

I think typing out a question on revitcity must somehow be a precurser to me finding the answer on my own.

I got it.  Click on element properties and you can create a parameter name for visibility that will toggle off and on.

I think it was this family that I posted a long time ago.

The secret are visibility parameters that are y/n and tied to the objects you want to control
