I have a builing that has a rather warped roof. The front of the roof (covering the front of the building) has a constant slope throuout the length of the retail building. Making it easy to insert roof with sloping structural members. However the rear part of the building requires a roof that has a fluxuating ledger line that forces water to flow to concentrated points at the back of the building where we've located drains. See retail2.jpg. This makes for a everchanging slope. I can put in each supporting beam individually to match its given slope, but this is quite time consuming. Any better ways? Also as you can see in the building section, having many beams all at different slope showing up in the background will make for quite a mess of lines, but I still want to show the opposite end of the building. Any way to just show the beam nearest the section line and not the others? Any ideas would be appreciated....

It is not always the best idea to model everything.... In this case modelling the roof framing will result in messy sections (unless you change the view clip plane of your section to the minimal amount).
You would however need to draw the plane for each individual member.
Can you set the roof as the workplane and then place the beams... this would result in all beams being placed at the correct height. This is not always possible as sometimes if the plane is twisting you are unable to set it as a work plane. IN which case the above beam by beam approach would need to be used.
