Revit MEP 2010. I placed light switches on my floor plan and now I can see them. They show up on my sections though. I've changed the cut plane and viewing range but nothing seems to work. I'm only having this issue on my first floor plan.

I don't work with MEP and i can't see images of what are you seeing but did you check in that "first floor plan" if you have the view in "Coarse/Medium or Fine mode"??? or in VG if you turned OFF that Category?

That level is on. Changing it from coarse to fine didn't do anything.

by default light switches are above the cut plane. you will have to raise the cut plane to see the light switches

even you try to change the cut plane it might not work..the default elevation of the device was 13' in my computer so I had to adjust the elevation to reasonable height..

Thanks..

who would put a light switch at 13'. you might want to fix that family.
