i've been on this revit merry-go-round for almost

four years..

i've been on the high seas in a sail boat called

revit for nearly four years and have not seen

any land..

recently they changed all the controls and that

caused my sailboat to sink and now i'm out there

in a life raft..

350 thousand seats of revit now and almost never

a job ad for revit- with page after page for autocad..

350 thousand with the same dream- yet only a handful

can deal with half the revit mysteries- much less do

anything with it..

are we all losing our minds or what?

What is the problem?

I have a compass, a map and a captain, a good crew.  I never had to use the lifeboat.  From time to time I call in to ask for assistance which invariable get resolved without calling out the coastgard

So, back to you.  Where are you at, so we know whre we can cast the life vest first, to get you on dry land, before we start the swimming lessons :-)

It seems that your first post on RevitCity was this year , so I would imagine that you weren't pursuing it with too much vigour for the first three- keep going.

recently they changed all the controls and that caused my sailboat to sink and now i'm out there in a life raft.

It's like buying a new car - at first you have to get used to it.

350 thousand seats of revit now and almost nevera job ad for revit- with page after page for autocad..

There's almost 100 000 members on this site - and as you mention 350 000 seats.  Definitely some people working with Revit.

are we all losing our minds or what?

No, you're generalising here.

doubting that this is the only way to the new world- i know it's the way too..

tim123-

you wrote: "It seems that your first post on RevitCity was this year , so I

so many people "imagine" something other than what it is..

i started coming to revitcity three and half years ago.. i started learning

revit 6 months before that.. my user name was vector23 but i had a problem

with my sign-in at some point and created a new user name and got

back in..

i appreciate your help very very much..

The economy is in the toilet. Most construction has come to a hault and job sites are being left to rot. This time last year there were plenty of REVIT jobs.

Most architectural companies I know have laid off 40% of their staff regardless of the software they use.

Imaginit (biggest autodesk reseller in the world) has laid off 100's.

4% of all American mortgages are in forclosure and 8% are behind in payments.

Have faith and keep the wind in your sales.

Are you aware of US Bill H.R. 2454 ?

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-2454

This is fantastic news for REVIT users and BIM in general. Can't do any of this with polylines and layers.

The future of REVIT users is bright so get yourself a Catamaran and learn to sail it.
