2 problems but both pertaining to the same idea.

 1.  in the project an existing wall has a certain shade to it.  but in the elevations i want it to show a certain colour.  without changing the view to coarse and overriding it because i wanna see the joists as joists not as single lines.  how would i be able to do that.

2. doors- im trying to make the doors green like say a certain material that is the color sage green and through the element properties i am having trouble changing them just because there is no option to.  they already have materials on there that are in the pulldown menu but not the ones that are on the material list but abbreviated ones that aren't even in the materials list.  how would i change the material?

k the problem with the doors are fixed.

it's basically going into your vg and just overriding the doors to that colour.

(should of saw that one, mind is blank right now haha)

ok part 1 for the walls worked thanks to asianfear.

u right click on the element u want to show different t

then override graphics in view then

change the surface
