Can some one give me a step by step process on creating a gyp. bd soffit for an interior space?  Thanks, AL

You can just do soffits as a ceiling and walls for the faces... wall with one side gyp - just like you would really build it.

 

....or if you have a coffered ceiling, you can sometimes do a sweep around the ceiling but the distance has to be equal on all sides for that.

are you talking about cornices??

the simplest way is to create a sweep profile on your wall type, just edit the type and click the sweep button in the wall properties.

load the profile you want and specify how high it is from the floor (among other things)

see attached screens.
