Revit Architecture 2009 I have done a color scheme legend to graphically show floor material types. In the floor legend I would like to see an area calculation for each type, ie CPT = xxx sq.ft. I feel like this ought to be a parameter you could set somwhere to show it, but I'm not finding it. I can't really do an area plan since my color scheme legend is room based and ties to the room finish schedule. This would be for budget purposes for an 85,000 square foot building so it's not really feasible to just show room areas in the room tag and have the estimator tote it up - too much room for error. Anyone have a quick fix?

I would create a new room tag to use for colorfills that has a label referencing the floor material and the area, then just add the = sign as a suffix to the material or a prefix to the area. Then use this tag in the colorfill plans. HTH
