Ive been working on a job that has several skylights and ive created my basic family for the skylight that cuts through the roof which works very well. To speed up the process of positioning each skylight and cut the ceiling openings i was wondering if it is possible To project the opening onto the ceiling. By the way the Roof is pitched at 22.5 degrees and the ceiling is flat? thanks for your help.

Create a ceiling-based family with a void (to cut the ceiling); make this family 'shared' and load it into Skylight family, place accordingly. Now, when you load Skylight into project, the ceiling-based void will also load and cut the ceiling when you place skylight. I haven't tried this myself, but I believe it should work.
