Did a search but can't find the answer to this. My default brick size in my project at present is 75mm which I am assuming is also taking into consideration a 10mm mortar joint. Please correct me if I am wrong!! I would like my default brick size for my current project to change from 75 mm to 85 mm, thereby accommodating a 10 mm mortar joint. Is it possible to make this change please or am I asking too much from Revit? Using revit 2010 Many thanks Kirk

Answer to your question - yes, you can change.. Now ... what you should have included in your question. Are you talking about brick detail components, hatch (fill) patterns or material bitmaps?

I guess it will be more brick detail. All I'm really after is being able to change the size of the brick in order to be able to get more accurate scaling in my drawings. So yeah, if it can be done, please tell! Many Thanks Kirk

If you don't have the correct brick detail size. Just edit your brick detail family ...and then edit your repeating detail - both to match the brick and mortar you are using.

In the UK, the standard brick size is 65mm, so the fill pattern in the default pattern is correct, as is the repeating detail for brick 65mm + 10mm mortar). As WWHub, says these can both be adjusted, if required. With regard to the material, you may need to fiddle with them a bit to get them to align with the fill pattern correctly, but it can definitely be done.
