Hello,I have a curtain wall that is 17'-6" w X 10'-0" h. I want to place a 7'-0" X 3'-0" alum. and glass door right in the center. I have set up my mullions to be vert. 3'-2 1/2" apart and my horiz. at 7'-1 1/4". This will make a 7-0 X 3-0 door. I tell it to center and it does, but my dooris not centered. Instead it puts a mullion in the center. Please help.

Curtain wall doors are used instead of the panel... are you trying to place a regular door?

The door is placed correctly. I need to move the mullions and the door to the left and possibly add another mullion.

I'm sorry, but when you say you " tell it to center and it does, but my dooris not centered", I do not uderstand.  You don't tell a curtain wall door to center.  You just use a curtain wall door instead of a panel - no centering required.

I suspect that you are modifying an automatic curtainwall (storefront).  If you are using a curtainwall that has preset spacings on mullions, the wall will continue to try to meet its design setup.  In order to move mullions in that system, you have to turn the element properties to independent.

Well I guess I’m not making myself clear. This is my fault.

What I want is my door to be in the center of my 17’-6” distance (the length of the curtain wall). I want the mullions to all be 3’ 2-1/2” form each other with the exception on the two at each end. They will be a shorter distance of course.

When I say I told revit to “center the curtain wall” I mean I clicked the appropriate menu or check box or radio button. As you should be able to see in the image that I posted the curtain wall is centered. All the mullions are 3’ 2-1/2” apart expect the two end ones and they are a little shorter in order for the curtain wall to be centered, but my door is not centered. It is a curtain wall panel, I followed the correct procedure for placing a door in a curtain wall.

WWHub wrote “you have to turn the element properties to independent.”  This sounds like what I need to rearrange the millions so my door is centered, but I can’t find where I tell revit this. Of course when I say “tell revit” I mean I can’t find an appropriate menu or check box or radio button in order to achieve this.
