I'm building a simple rectangular concrete column family from a floor hosted template. I hit a snug because once I label any dimension, a warning appears "constraints not satisfied" and the reference plane jumps beyond the scope of the screen. Or if someone can lead me to a tutorial on how to build a rectangular pole from scratch. It seems so simple that tutorial books jump to more complicated ones such as walls, door, gutter sweeps without showing some basics.

Probably because you are trying to "Label" a dimenson that is labeled.... check in other view: plan, front, right, left...
