What did you download? A family or a texture map. If it's just a map then you will need to create a new material - is this what you mean?

What is the website? I too work for a company that design-builds metal-fabricated buildings. So far for our wall panel we have simple assigned a material with a surface pattern to look like horizontal lines. It's simple and effective; but I would like to look into the website further to see what they have to offer.

I also design pre-engineered metal buildings. I am able to import the 3d model of the building into revit and add textures to finish the building. Always looking for new textures and ideas.

regards installing the steel select revit texture library, i have just done that myself.
download/read their installation instructions that comes with the library.
you need to follow the installation instructions exactly.
pay attention to the pathing in the instructions.
all works well.
cheers
