Hi all, When changing the height of a wall/s that has a sweep on it (cornice) can the sweep be made to move with the adjusted wall/s at the same time? cadjockey

try making the sweep in you wall style, rather than an addon to an existing wall already in place.

Hi Rubiks Cube, I am not aware of how to create a wall family other than to alter the composition and elevation of the default walls. There doesn't seem to be an avenue to customise the profile to the top and bottom of the wall. Can the wall sweep be joined to the wall and move with it just as doors and windows do? The sweep I created used the host profile template. I was under the impression that the sweep was host dependent and as such would move with its host element. I would be counter productive to have to adjust or re-draw every single cornice you have placed in a building because the wall heights have changed. Any insight is appreciated. cadjockey

You can embed your sweeps into the wall, and they are placed by giving a base/top offset and exterior or interior offset. You can also select whether they are cut by openings etc... Edit the wall properties Edit the structure Switch the preview on. Change to section view. Notice all those buttons now become available... Choose sweep and add as desired. HTH.
