I was trying to see if there was a way to create make-shift rpc people by creating a solid extrusion w decal of that person applied. The extrusion works, but can't seem to find a way to apply the decal to it properly so it renders right. I have tons of 2D people I could use in my perspectives and I would like to avoid paying for archvision content. Is what I am trying to do possible, or should I just add people through photoshop like I've always done?

Hi -- I'm definitely not an expert on the subject, but I'm betting the issue with your decals is trying to apply them to an oddly shaped surface. The decal file is rectangular, like any image file, so what if you used a perfectly transparent non-reflective rectangular sheet of glass to apply the decal to? Then, you could place your extrusion behind the glass an eighth of an inch for the purpose of shadows? Just thinking that might be easier for revit to swallow as a decal surface.
