I project with two floors. I created interior elevations for the first floor. I moved on to the second floor and noticed the elevation markers for the 1st floor were showing up on the 2nd floor. I placed an interior elevation marker on the second floor and noticed it shows up on the 1st floor also. I check the overlays for both floors, the visibility, etc....nothing obvious was found as to what is causing this problem. Your help is appreciatged. I was thinking the elevation was too high and touching the level marker, but i moved the crop for the elevation lower and did not fix the issue.....

If your elevation crop region extends to the floor above then the marker will be visible. The image shows the crop boundary aligned with the floor level above. If I bring the crop region down into the floor region the marker disappears from the floor above.

I have a similar issue, but reducing the crop regions does not affect the elevation tag's visibility on floors it is not associated with. What else may cause this?

Revit's rules are simple. If an object is in view, it shows. For some families, it will cut the object if appropriare. For others, if any part of the object is in the view range, it will show the entire object. Section/elevation markers meet the latter criteria. So, if your first floor, interior elevation touches the second level and your second level's view range starts at the floor, the view will show. If the elevation is below the floor and the view range is also below the floor enough to touch/cut the elevation, it will still show.
Understand?

That's what I'm getting at. The Elevation view is cropped such that no objects from the floor below are intersected by the cropping region. Also, the view ranges for all views concerned do not overlap this region. The rules are simple, but they dont always remain uncomplicated. So, that's my question. What else could be causing this?
