Hello,
I have made a steel switch back stair case on metal stringers for an office building.
Essentially a standard exit stairway going down 3 floors.
The stair goes up, wraps around a wall blah blah.
I do a section through the stairs.
My problem is I cannot graphically represent the stair hidden behind the wall.
I would like it to show in a dotted line as hidden.
Of course I remove my center wall, and stil cannot change the appearance of just the hidden stair...the stringer is in the way!
Any one got any ideas on how to do this?

go to your section and turn to wireframe, with the detail line pick your risers and threads, back to hidden and off you go...

Instead of detail lines use the linework tool to have the lines be associated to the stair and thus will adjust should the riser height change...
