I wonder if anybody can help with this please. I want to add windows to a building but can't seem to do so because I am not using a wall. I can only describe this by saying that I am adding a conservatory and I need to add windows on to a small dwarf wall. The windows are therefore going on top of the wall and up to the roof line at first floor level. When I try to add a window on top of the dwarf wall that I have, Revit will not allow me to do it. The only way that I can add the window is if I take the wall all the way up to the first floor level and then insert the window into the wall. I know that you can use a curtain wall or storefront wall but when I do this the window is completely clear with no detail, i.e, mullions etc. Any ideas anybody? Thanks

Hi Typhoon Thanks for that. I now have my mullions looking better but how do I now make the curtain wall look more like conventional windows. I need to add a transom and some openers in the windows etc. Many thanks

Simple, pick in that curtain wall then in the options bar pick in "Edit Profile", create lines inside of the curtain wall, that create the openings....

Typhoon, that seems so simple now... Thank you. Just one final thing on this matter if that is OK. Is it possible for me to add an exterior window sill to the bottom of my curtain wall, just to finish it all off nicely? Thanks again for the advice so far as always.

I have attached an image if it will help. I am basically trying to fit a window sill underneath the curtain wall as you wouls see underneath normal windows. On the image here, if you look to the left you will see some normal windows that I have placed and they have sills at the bottom. To the right of those windows on the next bay along, I have placed the curtain wall we were refering to. It is at the bottom of that curtain wall where it rests on the brickwork that I want a sill added. I am not sure how to achieve this. Hope this image helps a little. Many thanks

Ohhh, i was think in other thing, well it's simple, you can do that in several ways but now the faster is create in place with solid sweep the profile you want (on top of the wall) and give it a material you want..., do you get it???

Typhoon, that video was fantastic. Everything is very clear now and I will get cracking on with the project. Can't thank you enough for all the great help you give. At this rate and a little bit of luck, I will soon be able to start designing and building buildings on Revit instead of building them with my hands!!! Too much hard work...lol Thank you Best Regards Kirk
