I was informed that Revit 2010 has a duct static pressure loss calculation tool, but looking through the help file and several forums I cannot find any refrence to it. I see several people refer to duct sizing by pressure, but not an actual calulation of total pressure loss of a system, have I missed something?

Hello, it is possible you tool you are thinking about is the Revit MEP 2010 System Inspector.  Once you have sized your duct systems you can use the System Inspector to display pressure loss as you pass your cursor over different parts of a system.

You can size duct using Velocity, Friction, Equal Friction, or Static Regain.  The Equal Friction duct sizing method creates an initial guess for duct sizing based on the constant pressure loss per unit of duct length specified.  The Equal Friction and Static Regain methods used in Revit MEP also use an ASHRAE database that contains information about losses for various duct fittings.
