The project I am working on has led accent lighting pocketed in the soffits.  I built a custom solid sweep to create the illuminated tube.  When I render it glows and shows up when visibile but doesn't "glow" onto the ceiling edge.  I tried opening an uplight family and adding a light source definition.  But how do I get the light source definition to follow the full length of the curve?  I want it to indirectly light the little pocket it is in, rather than see the light source itself, so the pocket has a soft neon glow.

Please give me some advice on how to achieve this.  Thanks.

There is no curved light source.  You either use a series of point sources or straight line sources.  BTW - If the light source is inside your tube, your tube has to be at least translucent.

I am experimenting with using a series of small studio lights to try and get the effect and that seems to work.  Thanks Hub.
