I currently have two design options created, each containing a floorplan and a corresponding reflected ceiling plan. I am trying to show an interior elevation for Option 2, but the level tag for the ceiling height is calling out Option 1. Is there a way to get the correct level tag to show up? Thanks -

Make sure that your visibility graphics in the elevation view are showing the correct option (not set to Automatic). Under VG there is a design options tab that should be set to the particular option you want to show.

If you don't have a different ceiling in each DO, then you will only get one ceiling. The correct tag will show if you have the correct ceiling showing.

I have a different ceiling in each option. The layout for each plan is not even close.

I have severl projects that use design options and the ceiling tags work correctly. I don't know what your tag is set up to read but it sounds like that is the next place you should look. When you say level tag, I assume you mean the ceiling height above the floor - not the level the ceiling is associated with.... or do you have two different levels - one in each DO?

I think the issue is my own, in how I am naming the levels - - if I look in section, I see the design option change and work correctly, but the elevation tag does not change. Would I have to make a different tag(level) for each option?

You keep associating tag and level.... these are two different things - what are you asking? One tag will work for all design options. So what are you calling elevation tags???? Again I ask - do you have a different level in each DO? Please be clear. To create different floor plans, you don't need different levels... unless they are at different elevations with respect to grade. But then - everything in that DO has to be associated with the correct level.

Levels are unassociated with and independent of design options, therefore they cannot be included in individual design options. If you have created different levels for each of the different options, you will probably need to use your hide in view command in order to only show what level(s) you need or recreate your levels and plan views with this in mind. HTH.

So apanico did have a different level in each option. That was like pulling teeth.

apanico - for future reference you do not need to create a new level for each design option. Just duplicate your plan views as required for the number of options you have and change the visibility graphics in each of the views to the option that you want to show. This will eliminate the problem you were having of confusing level names.

I absolutely love watching you get all worked up like a 5 year old WWHub. You never fail to deliver and give the entire office here a good laugh. I could only imagine what you look like as you get more and more frustrated. You seriously are priceless. Don't change....don't you ever change.
