I dont know if the subject makes sense, but . . . What I am trying to do is make a server rack with a nested patch panel, and other equipment. The issue is the port numbers and the lines drawn on the faceplate of the patch panel dont show up when nested with the server rack. I had a similar issue with the ports, so I made those a void, thus eliminating that problem, but how do I do the text and lines?

Have you tried using "Model Text"? Its main function is to make signage, because it can be dimensional, but it should work for what you are doing. The only drawback might be that it will only be aligned ot the face its palced on.
