On my plan I need to show an 8"x2' stemwall on top of 1'4"x7 1/2" footing. How in the type parameters can I specify these dimensions so that they are represented on the plan?

My understanding is that stem walls are treated just like regular walls. Draw a regular 8" Concrete wall w/ bottom constraint 2'-0" below the top constraint, then add the footing. In my limited experience, I've found it helpful to a create a 'top of footing' reference level rather than manually entering the -2'-0" offset (makes it easier to change all the stem wall heights at once).I suppose you might be able to create a custom wall footing family that includes an 8"x2'-0" element on top & then use whatever kind of wall above as the host... Sounds like it would be pretty cool, but I haven't played around with customizing any footing families yet, so I can't really help you on that one. I'd like to know if you find a way to pull it off.

Ok, so I gave this a stab. Problem is that Revit won't recognize this as a Wall Foundation. It forces me to use it as an Isolated Footing & won't let me pick an appropriate host... Does anyone know how to customize the shape of a Wall Foundation? I'd also really like to use this Thickened Slab Footing for some interior walls over a slab-on-grade, but I keep running into the same little problem... Anyone?

I believe what WWHub and anderson are trying to express, is that in lieu of using a family to create your stem wall, use an actual wall. There are some that come predesigned with Revit and their function is described as "Foundation". They can be found under the Structural tab on the Design Bar. Save the family file for the actual Footing and join the Foundaton wall to the Footing. This is the method I typically use.
