I have a fairly extensive model of a house that has been developed over the last few months.  Recently when trying to make some minor modifications like adding a stone trim layer to a compound wall family (rather than using a sweep), or re-aligning an interior roof edge to a wall I get the following message after the machine computes for about 5 minutes and I go through a few "accept" menus for items that need to be detached, dimensions lost, or constraints no longer satisfied:

"Unable to split wall panel(s)."

at which point I have to cancel the command.  Anybody run into this before and have ideas what I can check, or what I need to detach, rework, etc. to get the model to perform?

Thanks.  This is my first post.  I have been able to find the answer to most of my other puzzles by searching others' posts.  RevitCity rocks!

you could add another wall, stone only adjacent to your existing wall this is what I do sometimes that it is easy to adjust around windows and such.

Good Luck
