Is there any way I could make a duplicate view independent of the original view so that whenever I would make, edit or introduce anything to the duplicate view, it would not be reflected on the original view? Please help. Thanks.

Did you check in your HELP menu?? when you duplicate the view you have several options but if you create that new view by "Dependent" then with the right button of the mouse, click and you gonna see one option for what do you want.... Now, are you see it???

Yes, Sir Typhoon, done those options in duplicating views. and the last one being converted to independent view. Still, all changes made to the primary view were also reflected on the duplicated viiews even on the converted independent view. Sir, what I would like to do is to make a similar copy, say Second Floor Plan, but that all or any introduction or change that would be made to the similar copy would not be reflected on the primary (original) view. Thanks.

Nothing much Sir, but as an independent view of a Structural Framing Plan of the duplicated view and to add thereon the corresponding text which in effect should not affect or update the original view.

When you create a Duplicate view and turn in a "Independent view" All text, keynotes... you create in that view don't appear in the original view...

Hi , still got  a question , i know i probably should have done this by crating diferent phases, but the thing is , i built a model for a client and i wanted to put different  3D views on the sheet showing 1-structure and the other with the complete model , since i didn't create phases i simply created independent 3d views and simply hid the obejcts i didn't wanna see. my problem is: i got to export the sheet to DWF , and when i do this all hidden objects show up in the sheet , and i can't delete them in one view cause even tough they are independent views the objects are deleted in the other , any toughts anyone? thanks

If you truely hide in view, the element will not print or export to a 2D DWF view.  Are you sure you just didn't use the sun-glasses?  That is only a temporary hide.  To hide in view, you need to select the object and right click then pick hide in view.
