I have a structural column tag that I am trying to modify. My problem is that I am not fully understanding why the parameters that I have selected are not allowing me to edit them when in plan view.  What I need is the ability to manually specify the load by just typing it in on either the top or bottom of the column type (depending on clarity)

 Currently I have the comment parameter on the bottom of the tag because it is the only thing that I have found to work. In a perfect world I would like to create two instance parametes, one for the top and one for the bottom, rather than the "comments" parameter provided.  Attached is the file I am working on.  Any help would be much appreciated.
