In only adding to the long lineage of Metal Roof questions....I'm trying to change the material of a roof that i have configured to look like a standing seam metal roof:Created Roof using Massing > Solid SweepCreated Curtain System by FaceSet Curtain Grid at 24"wide along width of entire Curtain SystemSet these Grid Lines as Mullions to obtain Standing SeamEverything looks great, with the exception of the material. When looking at the element properties, there is no material toggle for the curtain system, but there doees exist a "Curtain Panel Construction" toggle. This only allows me to switch between empty, solid, glazed, or solid panel. None of which delve further into allowing me to attach a "metallic" material. I've read other threads about this, none of which have led to suitable outcomes. Fairly easy question for those more advanced than I...Ideas?

use the "paint" (PT) command to apply your material to the panels

Delve in one level further and you can apply materials to the solid and glazed curtain wall panels.

Do either of you want to elloborate? I can neither paint nor change the material of a curtain system/panel; that is atleast by the means that i am accustomed to. As previously stated, there is no place on the element property's dialogue box that allows me to change materials.

Click on a panel - goto it's properties...click on edit and under the properties is the material - same for mullions

I click on the panel (Curtain System), then properties, then edit, and am left with a dialogue box that does not include a "materials" option. Please see the attached .jpeg. I am concerned that perhaps we are talking about two seprate things. Please review the process by which i created this curtain system w/ mullions (thread #1), and let me know if perhaps i should have gone about creating my standing seam metal roof in a different way.Summary Used Massing > Solid Sweep to create roof form Roof by Face to turn Roof Form into actual Roof Curtain System by Face to set layer of curtain glazing @ roof's top face Curtain Grid to Set Grid Lines Mullions to turn those Grid Lines into Mullion (standing seams)

You are selecting the whole system. You have to select the panel. Use your tab key and pay attention to what you have selected ... lower left in your display.
