can anyone tell me how to create a roof to be a half circle shape? for like an awning...

If you want a flat "roof" that is shaped like that and possibly sloping, just sketch the shape from a plan view using the roof commands. If you want a "softer" shape, that's different and more involved.

If you mean simple quarter circle awning. Use extrusion
|
