I have been using Revit for over four years and I left my first firm to go to another firm to train their entire staff and to implement their standards. I am pretty confident in my skills and I actually have gone to all of their satellite offices to conduct classes in groups of 5 to 6 people, several classes a day.

I am wondering how someone would go about becoming certified for Revit Structure (I only see architecture on Autodesks site) and go about free lancing. This is something I have been wanting to do but I really dont know how to go about it.

Thanks

right now i believe it is only for rac, i think the closest we can come with rmep or rst is certified implemention specialist, although i like this better because it encompasses everything not just training but the setting up of standards, documents, etc. a very valuable learning experience it has certainly helped me with implementations.

Call ADSK. Its expensive. Something you should remember too is it is something completely different doing it inhouse as opposed to as a consultant.

It's important to note that being Revit certified does not make you a certified trainer... it makes you a trainer that is Revit certified.

As far as implementation certified... that's a lot of work and not what you would think. It's not about implementing the product (but that is part of it) its more about documenting the process, procedures, paperwork... virtually nothing related to actual program use. I don't believe individuals can get implementation certified, I believe this is only for resellers and autodesk employees.
