Greetings:

Is there a way to center dimension text automatically in line centered with the dimension line?   I've been moving the text manually.

Thanks for your help!

Not sure what you mean.  The dimension text is centered over the center of the dimension line automatically.  Your options are all set through settings / annotations / dimensions and you can read about these options in your H E L P.

Hi WWHub,

Thanks for the reply.

I Mean this: |---------3 5/8"---------|

Revit will easily do this: |________3 5/8"________|  or will allow you to specify an offset above the dimension line, but seemingly won't allow me to specify a negative offset which would lower the text to be centered at the dimension line.

Is that a little clearer?  Thanks for your help

No this is not possible.  As such I would suggest you accept this is the way it is, rather than manually changing them all each time.  That would be a nightmare and significantly impede your productivity.  Add it to the wishlist!
