Im trying to create a curtain wall system that has a double curvature to it, ive done this succesfully using a family component that applys itself to my conceptual form i created, but infortuantely the join conditions of each family panel does not work and i was wondering what i need to do to resolve this. any suggestions. attached are images of my conceptual form and the area of connection between the components.
the reason for the join conditions being important is for stereolythgraphy.
any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Checkout Zach's blog http://buildz.blogspot.com/ There are some handy videos that explain the process of placing points on points to resolve this type of issue.

ok ive run into another issue with my family. when i load the conceptual mass with the octagon, into a project it is all fragmented and unjoined. any suggestions? if you could you refer me to another tutorial or other info, that would help greatly. Attached is a picture of what is happening. Cheers.

If I make it in early tomorrow I'll do another video on my blog where I'll attempt to create your same family. But in the meantime it looks like your family is not parametrically adjusting with the size of the panel. Its always a good idea in the curtain pattern panel family to flex the grid size by selecting it and changing its size. This way you can see if its flexing properly.

yeah that would be great thanks. my curtain pattern panel family flexes fine, and applies itself how its meant too in a conceptual model, but when that conceptual model and the pattern panel family are imported into the project then it results in the image posted in my last reply. any help would be appreciated. cheers.
