Hello, Recently, I built a house in revit using the default.rvt default project template only to find out that i needed the Residental-default.rvt project template for the electrical plan view. I dont want to start all over because its a big house and i need time. So is there a way where i can maybe change the project template without copying or starting over? or possibly adding the electrical plan view for three floors? Please i need your assistance. Thank you

- Open your project
- Open the Residental-default.rvt
- In the Project Browser, Right Click on the electrical plan and choose "Create View Template from View"
- Name it something appropriate like "Electrical Plans"
- OK
- Switch to your project
- Go to Manage-->Transfer Project Standards (RAC2010)
- Choose Check None
- Then check "View Templates"
- OK
- Create a New Floor plan for the view that you want to have an electrical plan of.
- Right Click on the view in the project browser
- Choose "Apply View Template"
- Select "Electrical Plans"
- Apply
- Done
Hope this helps. Sounds like a lot of work but its a relatively simple process.
