Ok I am trying to see if revit 2010 new modelling can do certain objectives. I am sure many of you would have heard of UN studio the mobius strip. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%B6bius_strip I am trying to do a continuous spline but will not join at both ends which is annoying to carry out a sweep to replicate a mobius strip sweep . I wanted to see if anyone had some time to try out these new tools to see if there is a better solution. here is a screen shot of what Im trying to do

If symmetrical, make one, copy/mirror and join geometry.

This is a known issue that a spline cannot be fully enclosed in a single section. I'd imagine this could only be acheived in sections merged together or mirrored/copied as already suggested. We may have a better concept modelling tool but there are still a few limitations mainly bound by "unable to create geometry" and "would result in self-intersection geometry"... Oh how I wish it would just let me create the self intersecting geometry and I'll deal with the issues later...

Thanks for the feedback guys I did read this earlier just had no time to reply. Its a shame it is still quite restrictive although its a great modelling improvement. Im going to use rhino with revit for now till revit improves in the modelling department a little further. Is it possible that due to this improved modelling with revit would help importing rhino to revit. I import rhino into revit using family mass. I know if I had to many faces when importing from 3ds max or rhino it wouldnt compute the volumes of the forms imported.
