I am trying to draw a set of stairs into a residential revit project, and I have adding numerous amounts of stairs in other projects, but everything I draw the stairs into the plan, it has the stairs flipped in the direction that I need. I know that there is an arrow to flip them, but everytime I click to do this step I get a message stating that the stair faces cannot be generated and then the stairs are deleted? Any suggestions. Thanks

Mirror or rotate doesnt work, the same thing happens and it stated that faces cant be created. I am trying to create a single switch back stair that goes up 8 ft.

I just create the five kind of stairs possible in Revit and create another by boundary and risers, in ALL of them if i click in that arrow, they flip, in ALL of them i can rotate or mirror, so, try to create another one and check if it works, if not put here (upload) that stair and i gonna take a look...

i tried to build it in the model and outside of it and both times it says that the faces could not be generated when i try to get the stair in the model the corrext orientation. I will attach the file. The stairs go in the bottom right corner. I also had a question about rendering rendering sketchup components. When you render the image the components appear white, is there anyway to change that. Thanks for your help.

How can I make my file smaller to fit the 2mb max limit when the file is currently 9.8mb?

Create a copy of that file, then delete all of you don't need, then purge the file.... if you need try winzip or winrar...

There is no stair in the file that you uploaded, but I have no problem creating the stair or flipping it.

the stair needs to be going up in the opposite direction than you have it. and when i try to flip it states that stair faces cannot be generated. Do you have that problem??

No, I could flip it - I've closed the file already, but I did need to adjust some of the stair settings (max riser height, width) to have the same amount as shown in the CAD drawing.

I just tried to add the stairs in again, and I am getting the same error even after I changed the riser height. When I go to flip it it still states that the faces cannot be generated. Is there something that I am doing incorrectly? I have attached a file witht the stair in place.

I'm not sure what the problem is - I have no trouble creating it, although the file that you've just uploaded shows risers to be 7 feet high - I changed that to 9 inches and it worked.
