I am unclear as to how to use mass objects. For example, I created an altar dais with steps and such and changed the obect to "concrete" in the materials category under the element properties. However, I when I go and turn off the mass layer so as not to see the other mass objects I have made to make things like the roof, the dais turns off too. I solved this by making the different levels of the alter out of a "foundation" and the stairs through various levels of small grade beams, but I've got to think there is a better way. Is there any way just to keep the mass object a material without it being on the "mass" layer? As a follow up to that question, what is the best practice for using mass objects? Are you suppose to erase them after the object is created? If you make a roof from a mass then stretch the mass to make a wall does it screw something else up? Why when I stretch the roof that I made from a mass(but not stretch the mass) do I get an error message? Bunch of questions I know, but I keep running into these kind of issues without finding clear answers from the "help"

When you create a "Mass" family it's just like that "MASS", you can apply Walls, roofs, floors and curtain system by face, if you create a "Sloped wall" or a roof by face and now you want to change the angle of the wall (for example), edit the mass, change what you want then it's just pick in the wall or roof and pick in "Remake", the wall and roof automatically readjust the new position...
