Hey everyone, I have created an annotation (symbol) family with text and a linework box around the text. When I insert the symbol in a view (over the building - see attached jpg) the text is opaque and therefore 'blocks' out the building behind, but the linework box doesn't stand out amongst the other lines of the building. I figure I could use a masking region instead of the linework box, but it doesn't mask out my building (i.e. create a solid white box with text in it). I can't set the work plane of the masking region either....therefore what is the point of having masking regions in annotation families - they don't mask anything!!! I am using Revit 2009. Thanks

Actually - don't worry! I re-inserted the symbol and it worked!....I take it all back, masking regions in Symbols are great!
