I have a wall edge that butts into a steel column at an angle. I want it to miter the wall edge to match the angle along the face of the tube steel column. But I can't find any way to do this. Can someone tell me how I miter (or bevel cut) a free edge of a wall? Thanks

Did you try to create in-place a "Void" in the category "Wall" and cut geometry that portion you don't want????

So much to learn about this software, it's amazing. I didn't even know about creating in-place "voids" before. Thanks. I made it look the way I want. But I have a couple resulting questions: 1. is there any way to make the cut portion attached to the wall? When I move the wall, the void becomes detached, I have to delete it and start over again. 2. Is there any way to edit the void form that was just created? I can't seem to find any way to select or edit it, once I have finished the family. For instance, if I need to adjust the extrusion length, I can 't find any way to select the void extrusion to run properties on it. Thanks.

to answer your questions: 1) - Before you create the voids create REF. PLANES and attach to the wall and lock them (the blue padlock, lock them), then create the void and attach to the ref. planes and lock them again, to lock one element (ref plane, void....) to the other you can use the "align" tool for that (see the help menu). 2) - To edit the void it's tricky isn't??? but you have the "TAB" key, put the cursor of the mouse near the void, then click with the TAB key until the void appear, then pick with the mouse OR select by "crossing" and go to the "Filter" (in the bottom of your screen, on the right you have a button and tell you how many object are selected, pick in the filter, deselect all and select ONLY the void).
