Hey y'all,

As a new revit user I am completely unaware how to make a cone-shaped building. The intention is to make a concrete cone. So i tried to sloped my walls. But i can't seem to connect them at the top point. I could only enter the desired sloping and then it would get a certain height. Which is a bit time-consuming, especially if i would like to alter certain aspects later on!

Then I tried to make a mass with solid revolve. Which resulted in a cone (in the wrong direction, but I guess that's fixable). But how can I turn that mass into walls?

Are there any good ways to do this?

Any help is appreciated.

greets, Rik

I would do the very top of the cone as a seperate element and join geometry for that portion.  For the other, create a mass - solid blend, then use that and do wall by face.

thanks! I tried to use the wall by face now, but it doesn't seem to have any depth. is that normal?

No reason why this should not work.  The image shows a cone created in the way that WWHub described, with a wall placed by face.  Are you sure its not a curtain wall that you placed?  If so you will need to apply panels.
